ANALISIS KESEHATAN MANGROVE DI KAWASAN EKOWISATA MANGROVE DESA LEMBAR SELATAN, KABUPATEN LOMBOK BARAT, NUSA TENGGARA BARAT

Abstract

The Mangrove ecosystem at South Lembar Village has been designated as an ecotourism attraction by the local government. Mangrove utilization will put pressure to the mangrove ecosystem and affect the function of the mangrove itself. The current study aimed to analyze the community structure and health condition of mangrove at South Lembar Mangrove Ecotourism Area. Purposive random sampling was used to conduct the observation plot. The mangrove health was determined by hemispherical photography method. Mangrove identification, total tree stands, mangrove canopy cover, and girth at breast data were collected and analyzed to determine the mangrove community structure such as mangrove value health index (INP), diversity index value, everness index value, dominancy index value and mangrove health index at South Lembar Mangrove Ecotourism Area. The results showed that the highest INP was belong to Rizhopora mucronata 252,96% while the lowest INP was belong to Ceriops tagal 6,74%. Diversity index value was classified moderate of 1,5. Everness index value was also classifies as moderate of 0,58. Dominancy index value was classified low of 0,37. Mangrove Health Index was around 34,95%-56,49% classified as moderate category.
