Abstract

Bias Tugel Beach, located in Karangasem Regency, has great potential as a tourist attraction because of its natural beauty. This research is based on several problems, such as the lack of supporting facilities, tourist attractions that only rely on the beauty of the beach, improving security to ensure tourist safety, and the implementation of tourism development strategies that are not yet optimal.      T     his study aimed       to determine the value of the tourism suitability index and provide an overview of      formulating management and development strategies for beach tourism with recreational categories in the Bias Tugel Beach Area. The data processing method used is the Tourism Suitability Index and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the suitability of recreational beach tourism in the Bias Tugel Beach area is in the very suitable category (S1) with a percentage of 91%. The priority strategy that needs to be done in the Bias Tugel Beach area is the SO (Strength Opportunity) management strategy. The SO strategy uses the potential of tourism suitability parameters at Bias Tugel Beach and opportunities for cooperation with other parties to achieve an optimal outcome.
