Analisis Indeks Kesesuaian Wisata dan Daya Dukung Kawasan Pantai Batu Belig, Kabupaten Badung, Provinsi Bali

Abstract

Batu Belig Beach is located in the village of Kerobokan, Kuta Utara district, Badung regency, Bali province. It has the potential for captivating natural beauty, and tourism activities such as surfing and snorkeling can be enhanced. The Tourism Suitability Index indicates the feasibility level of a particular area to be used as a tourist destination. The carrying capacity of an area is the limit on the number of visitors that can be accommodated by a system within an area without causing environmental degradation. The purpose of this study was to determine the tourism suitability index and the carrying capacity of the tourist area at Batu Belig data on parameters including water depth, water type, beach width, beach material, dangerous biota, and the availability of fresh water are needed to determine the carrying capacity of the tourist area at Batu Belig Beach. The physical carrying capacity used in this study refers to the maximum number of visitors the available space can physically accommodate at a given time. The research was conducted through field observations to collect primary data using tourist interviews, while secondary data were obtained from beach managers and literature studies. Based on the research results, the analysis of the suitability index for the area at Batu Belig Beach falls into the "Very Suitable" category, and the carrying capacity of the area at Batu Belig Beach falls into the "Under Carrying Capacity" category.
