Produksi Biomassa Serasah dan Dinamika Kerapatan Mangrove di Kawasan Hutan Mangrove Pulau Penyu, Kabupaten Badung

Mangrove litterfall is organic material that falls from mangrove trees and accumulates in coastal ecosystems. In the mangrove forest area of Pulau Penyu, Badung, there is still limited data on mangrove density dynamics and mangrove litterfall production. The research aims to determine the density, leaf litterfall biomass production, and dynamics of individual mangrove density in the Pulau Penyu Mangrove Forest, Badung Regency. Litterfall sampling was conducted using 1x1 m traps at three (3) different stations over a period of six (6) weeks. The research stations were determined based on the purposive sampling method. Mangrove density within the area was calculated in 10 x 10 m transects, and the relationship between mangrove density and mangrove litterfall production was analyzed using linear regression. This study shows that the mangrove density at station 1 is 2717 individuals/ha, at station 2 it is 2217 individuals/ha, and at station 3 it is 2017 individuals/ha. Additionally, the daily mangrove litterfall production at station 1 is 3.02 g/m2/day, at station 2 it is 2.48 g/m2/day, and at station 3 it is 2.6 g/m2/day. A comparison of data from 2015 and 2024 shows an increase in the number of mangrove individuals, with a difference of 145 individuals. A comparison of data from 1994 and 2024 shows a difference of approximately 300-1600 individuals.
