The mangrove ecosystem in Kedonganan Village possesses significant potential and is considered suitable for development as a tourism area. Assessing the suitability index and the area's carrying capacity is crucial for the implementation of sustainable tourism. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach, with primary data collected through direct field observation and secondary data obtained from relevant official sources. The parameters used to assess ecotourism suitability included mangrove thickness, density, species diversity, tidal frequency, and the presence of associated biota. The findings revealed that the mangrove tourism suitability index across the three observation stations in Kedonganan Village falls within the "suitable" category, with scores of 2.12 recorded at two stations and 2.02 at the third. Furthermore, carrying capacity analysis indicated that the area can accommodate up to 582 visitors per day. It can thus be concluded that the mangrove ecosystem in Kedonganan Village holds considerable potential for tourism development, provided that specific enhancement efforts are implemented to ensure sustainable utilization.
