Abstract

Pangpang Bay is a mangrove conservation area located in
Wringinputih Village, Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency which
is managed by the local community. Pangpang Bay’s potential can be
used as an interpretive medium for environmental sustainability
education for tourist. Some potentials whose existence has not been
realized can be developed throught nature tourism planning. This
research was conducted to identify natural attractions and develop a
nature tourism plan in Pangpang Bay and to assist managers in
developing nature tourism activities. The method used in this research
was a survey method with observation, interviews, and literature
studies. Next, the stages of inventory, analysis, synthesis, and concept
were carried out. The analysis stage used the 4A aspects. The
attractions found in the Pangpang Bay area are a mangrove ecosystem
with 12 mangrove species and 30 protected and migratory bird species
that stop by from November to February as well as natural panoramas.
The natuew tourism planning uses three concept that were developed:
the concept of space, circulation layout, and the concept of activities and
facilities. The concept of space is divided into reception space, activity
space, dan buffer space.
