Chemical Properties Identification of Entisol Soil in Dry Land, Sekon Village, Insana District, North Central Timor Regency –NTT

Nutrient content affects soil fertility and agricultural productivity. Most of the agricultural land in Sekon Village experienced crop failure. Nutrients wereneeded to support plant growth and development in a certain amount so theanalysis of the nutrient content wascarried out to determine their suitability for agriculture.This study identified entisol soils in Sekon Village, Insana District, North Central Timor Regency, NTT. This research wasa qualitative descriptive studyaimingto present an overview of the chemical state of the entisol soil in Sekon Village using survey methods and laboratory analysis.The results showed the organic matter content was low with an average percentage ranging from 0.09 to 1.4%. Soil acidity status tends to be neutral to alkaline with an average pH of 7.32.The content of C-organic variedfrom very low to low with an average of 0.57%. The content of N-total wasvery low with an average percentage of 0.09%. P content wasclassified as very low to moderateand potassium wasclassified as very low to low with an average of 0.34 me/100 g.
