The electric current in palm oil mill press machines is generally set at 50–56 amperes. Each current setting results in different levels of oil loss and broken nuts, resulting in different total financial values. This study aims to determine a current setting between 50–56 A that minimizes total combined financial loss. The case study was conducted on the Tanner P25 press machine at PT XYZ, West Kalimantan. Three working current ranges were tested: 50–52 A, 52–54 A, and 54–56 A, with a constant hydraulic cone pressure of 50 bar. Press cake samples were collected from four different outlet points at four different times each day to ensure statistical representativeness. Oil content in the fiber was measured using the Soxhlet extraction method with n-hexane solvent, while broken nut was calculated by manually sorting and weighing each category. Data were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA and Tukey HSD post-hoc test. The results showed that increasing the working current reduced oil losses from 4.76% to 3.82%. However, the percentage of broken nut increased significantly from 40.97% to 50.89%. In terms of potential combined losses, the use of a working current of 50–52 amperes provides the lowest total daily financial loss (Rp271.86 million), compared to current settings of 52–54 amperes (Rp278.30 million) and 54–56 amperes (Rp281.31 million). Controlling the working current at 50–52 A offers the most optimal operational and economic parameter.
