Author Guidelines
The JBETA submission flow includes submission with a Covering Letter and Submission Template, followed by peer review and revision, and finally adjustment to the Publication Template until publication.
Submission Process
Authors intending to submit an article to the Jurnal Biosistem dan Teknik Pertanian (JBETA) are required to prepare two main documents: a Covering Letter and the Article Manuscript, in accordance with the JBETA Covering Letter and Submission Template.
-
Covering Letter must follow the template and include: article title (in Indonesian and English), list of authors without academic titles, corresponding author’s identity (name, affiliation, email, phone number), and a statement declaring that the article complies with the Author Guidelines, has never been published, is not under review elsewhere, and is submitted exclusively to JBETA.
-
Manuscript must be written according to the template with the standard structure (title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgments, references). References must follow the APA 6th edition style, preferably using citation management software. Tables, figures, graphs, and equations must comply with the JBETA template format.
Peer Review and Revision Process
Submitted articles will undergo an initial screening to ensure compliance with journal formatting, followed by peer review by reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers will provide recommendations as follows: accepted without revision, minor revision, major revision, or rejected. Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments within the given timeframe before the manuscript can be reconsidered by the editor.
Publication Process
Once accepted, authors are required to adjust the article to the JBETA Publication Template. This template represents the final publication format, covering layout settings, font type, spacing, placement of tables, figures, graphs, and equations in accordance with JBETA publication standards. The reformatted article will then undergo proofreading before being officially published in the corresponding JBETA issue.
Authors must adhere to publication ethics (no academic titles, clear corresponding author, accurate citations, plagiarism-free).
