Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Our Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

1. Duties of Authors

• Reporting Standards:

  • Authors must present an accurate account of original research and an objective discussion of its significance.

  • Results must be presented honestly without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.

  • Manuscripts must contain sufficient detail and references to permit replication. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

• Originality and Plagiarism:

  • Authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work.

  • Relevant previous work—by other researchers or the authors themselves—must be properly acknowledged and cited.

  • Direct quotes from other publications must appear in quotation marks with appropriate citations.

• Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publications:

  • Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently.

  • Submitting redundant manuscripts or publishing work describing the same research across multiple journals is unacceptable.

• Acknowledgement of Sources:

  • Authors must acknowledge all data sources and cite influential publications that shaped the reported work.

• Authorship of the Paper:

  • Authorship should be strictly limited to those who made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study.

  • Major contributors must be listed as co-authors; minor or technical contributors should be acknowledged in an Acknowledgements section.

  • The corresponding author must ensure all co-authors have approved the final version and agreed to its submission.

• Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest:

  • All financial or substantive conflicts of interest that might influence the results or interpretation must be disclosed.

  • All sources of financial support for the project must be clearly stated.

• Fundamental Errors in Published Works:

  • If an author discovers a significant error in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the Editor or Publisher to retract or correct the paper.

• Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects:

  • Manuscripts involving chemicals, procedures, or equipment with unusual inherent hazards must clearly identify them.
