About the Journal

METAMORFOSA Journal of Biological Sciences is a peer-reviewed electronic scientific journal (e-ISSN: 2655-8122) published biannually (March and September) by the Master's Program in Biological Sciences, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University. The journal publishes original scientific works, including research articles, review articles, literature reviews, and case studies in the fields of basic and applied biology, as well as related disciplines. Submitted manuscripts must be original (unpublished elsewhere) and written in either Indonesian or English.

Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal’s formatting guidelines or that fail to meet proper linguistic standards in Indonesian or English will be rejected without obligation for return. All submissions are subject to review by the editorial board and independent reviewers. The peer review process evaluates aspects such as structure and formatting, logical flow, content depth, and originality. Editorial decisions—whether to accept, revise, or reject a manuscript—will be communicated to the authors via email prior to the corresponding publication period.

This journal is open access, meaning all published articles are freely available to the public without subscription or payment, ensuring broad dissemination of research.
