Journal of Biological Sciences is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Master's Program in Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University.
The journal publishes:
• Original Research Article
This manuscript is a scholarly report that presents novel findings, primary data, and innovations derived from experimental research, field studies, or empirical investigations conducted directly by the authors. The manuscript must follow the IMRaD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion). Articles in this category are evaluated based on their originality, methodological rigor, and significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the relevant field.
• Review Article
This manuscript serves as a comprehensive synthesis and guide that summarizes, analyzes, and critically evaluates previously published scientific literature. Authors are expected to identify current research trends, highlight research gaps, and provide strategic directions for future studies. A review article should demonstrate depth of analysis and must not merely consist of a compilation of literature summaries.
This journal covers original contributions in the fields of fundamental, applied biology, and multidisciplinary approach. Encompassing botany, zoology, microbiology, environmental science and ecotourism, biotechnology and molecular biology, ecology and conservation. It also includes all aspects of biodiversity (spanning plants, animals, and microorganisms) at the genetic, species, and ecosystem levels.
