Secondary metabolite compounds in red ginger plants can be produced more from callus than plants from the field. This study aims to determine the effect of BAP and Pikloram on the growth of red ginger callus. This research is an experimental study with the research design used is a two-factorial complete randomised design, which is a concentration of BAP (0 ppm; 1 ppm; 2 ppm; 3 ppm) and Pikloram (0 ppm; 1 ppm; 2 ppm; and 3 ppm). Explants were planted in sterile media. Callus growth indicators observed were callus emergence time, percentage of callus, callus morphology (colour and texture of callus) and callus growth. Data on callus growth time and callus percentage were analysed using Kruskall wallis with Dunn's test. Callus morphology data (callus colour and texture) and callus growth were analysed by descriptive analysis. The results showed that the concentration of the combination of BAP and pikloram had a significant effect on the time of callus emerge time and the percentage of callus. Giving 2 ppm BAP + 3 ppm Pikloram showed the fastest callus emergence time which is 31 days after planting, on the percentage of callus showed a percentage of 100% in all combinations. The colour of the callus produced in all treatments is white, and yellowish. The texture of the callus produced in the combination treatment is crumb texture while in the control treatment the callus produced is compact texture.
