Tren aktivitas dan konsep sosial penggunaan ruang di Taman Heulang, Kota Bogor

Abstract

Taman Heulang is one of the largest urban parks in Bogor City, characterized by high visitation intensity and diverse recreational and social activities. Nevertheless, discrepancies have emerged between spatial settings and user activity patterns, which may compromise visitor comfort if not properly managed. This study aims to examine activity trends and the social dimensions of space utilization in Taman Heulang on weekdays and weekends through a behavior setting approach. The analysis employed descriptive statistics and was visualized using behavior mapping based on direct observation data. The results indicate that five out of eleven spatial settings were identified as experiencing activity mismatches, with four of these areas being affected by the presence of street vendors (PKL) within and around the park. The presence of street vendors influences visitor behavior in the park, thereby necessitating spatial planning and vendor regulation to ensure that the park continues to function as a comfortable and inclusive public green space.
