Abstract

Traceability is the capability to track the movement of products through the stages of production to distribution. Food industry regulations require traceability to be included as a criterion in quality control, which must be audited periodically. One participant in the retail industry, BOS Fresh, has obtained certification as a Self-Reliant Agricultural and Rural Training Center (P4S). One of BOS Fresh's products, broccoli, is highly demanded and has substantial transactions. The traceability system at BOS Fresh still has limitations in conveying information to consumers. The primary objective of this research is to develop a traceability website based on the Laravel Framework that is excellent, responsive, and accessible to users. The development of the traceability website employed the waterfall method, covering the design of use case diagrams, class diagrams, database, user interface, hosting, and culminating in white-box, black-box, and user acceptance testing. The admin user interface comprises multiple menu options, including login, data input, data update, data deletion, and QR code printing. Consumers are only granted access to a page for viewing data. Performance testing results of the white-box method, directly tested by the web developer, obtained an interpretation of "Valid" for testing the logical pathways within the programming. The black-box method, tested by the BOS Fresh admin, received an interpretation of "Successful" for testing all website features. Additionally, the user acceptance testing method, conducted directly by BOS Fresh consumers from general backgrounds, yielded an interpretation of "Very Satisfied" in assessing user satisfaction. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the constructed traceability website operates with excellence, responsiveness, and user accessibility.
