Uji daya hambat ekstrak daun girang-girang (Leea indica (Burm.f) Merr) terhadap bakteri Morganella morganii FNCC 0122

Morganella morganii FNCC 0122 merupakan bakteri yang dapat menyebabkan foodborne disease seperti keracunan histamin. Ekstrak tumbuhan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan biopreservasi alternatif untuk mengendalikan cemaran histamin yang disebabkan oleh M. morganii FNCC 0122. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat dan golongan senyawa fitokimia pada daun girang-girang (Leea indica Burm.F) Merr. terhadap M. morganii FNCC 0122. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode sumur difusi untuk memperoleh nilai konsentrasi efektif yang mampu menghambat M. morganii. Konsentrasi perlakuan yang diujikan meliputi 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10% (v/v), kontrol positif (Chloramphenicol), dan kontrol negatif (etanol 96%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun girang-girang menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Morganella morganii FNCC 0122 dengan konsentrasi efektif 10%. Skrining fitokimia menunjukkan adanya golongan senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, fenol, tanin dan steroid pada esktrak daun girang-girang.
