Focus and Scope

Sita Ayana: Jurnal Perpustakaan, Informasi dan Budaya is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Undergraduate Program in Library and Information Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Udayana. The journal provides a platform for the publication of original research articles, conceptual studies, case studies, and applied research in the fields of library and information science, archives, documentation, and cultural studies.

The journal aims to promote the development of knowledge, professional practice, innovation, and scholarly communication among academics, researchers, librarians, archivists, information professionals, students, and cultural practitioners.

The journal’s scope includes, but is not limited to, library management; digital libraries; information and digital literacy; bibliometrics and scientometrics; knowledge management; information organization and retrieval; metadata; preservation and conservation of information resources; archives and records management; information technology in libraries; information-seeking behaviour; scholarly communication; digital transformation in libraries and information institutions; human–information interaction; digital humanities; cultural documentation; preservation of local knowledge and cultural heritage; and the application of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, in library and information services.

Sita Ayana: Jurnal Perpustakaan, Informasi dan Budaya was first published in 2026 and is issued twice a year, in June and December. The journal is published electronically through the Open Journal Systems platform and provides open access to its published articles.
