Tingkat Kerusakan Kentang Bibit pada Lama Getaran Menggunakan Frekuensi 2,2 Hz

Distribution of agricultural products through land transportation often causes vibrations that have the potential to reduce product quality, especially for perishable commodities such potatoes. Efforts to evaluate the impact of these vibrations were carried out through the use of a vibrating table as a simulation tool. This study aims to determine the level of potato damage at a vibration frequency of 2.2 Hz. The vibrating table was designed using an angle iron frame with a v-belt pulley transmission system that allows for variations in vibration speed and frequency. Four pulley combinations were tested in stages, namely A (70 mm; 374 rpm), B (200 mm; 130.89 rpm), C (70 mm; 374 rpm), and D (300 mm; 87.27 rpm). The test was carried out by placing a carton 7 kg of seed potatoes with a total of 126 pieces on the vibrating table and it with varying times of 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours. The parameters observed included the physical condition of the after the test. The results show that using a vibration frequency of 2.2 Hz, namely the condition of the that were given vibration for 1 hour only shifted 10 pieces and there was no damage, vibration for 2 hours only 20 pieces shifted and there was no damage, and for 3 hours 28 potatoes shifted and 2 experienced physical damage such as bruising. The conclusion is that using a frequency of 2.2 Hz, there were 2 potatoes bruising damage, the percentage of potato damage was 1.59%.
Abstrak
Distribusi hasil pertanian melalui transportasi darat sering menimbulkan getaran yang berpotensi menurunkan kualitas produk, khususnya komoditas yang mudah rusak seperti kentang bibit. Upaya untuk mengevaluasi dampak getaran tersebut dilakukan melalui penggunaan meja getar sebagai alat simulasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan tingkat kerusakan kentang pada lama getaran frekuensi 2,2 Hz. Meja getar dirancang menggunakan rangka besi siku dengan sistem transmisi pulley v-belt yang memungkinkan pengaturan variasi kecepatan dan frekuensi getaran. 4 kombinasi pulley diuji tahapannya, yaitu A (70 mm; 374 rpm), B (200 mm; 130,89 rpm), C (70 mm; 374 rpm), dan D (300 mm; 87,27 rpm). Pengujian dilakukan dengan meletakkan kardus berisi kentang bibit 7 kilogram dengan jumlah 126 kentang di atas meja getar dan dijalankan dengan variasi waktu 1 jam, 2 jam, dan 3 jam. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kondisi fisik kentang setelah pengujian. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan frekuensi getaran 2,2 hz yaitu kondisi kentang yang diberikan getaran selama 1 jam hanya bergeser 10 buah kentang dan tidak ada kerusakan, kondisi kentang yang diberikan getaran selama 2 jam hanya 20 kentang yang bergeser dan tidak ada kerusakan, dan kondisi kentang selama 3 jam 28 kentang yang bergeser dan 2 buah kentang mengalami kerusakan fisik seperti memar. Kesimpulannya yaitu menggunakan frekuensi 2,2 Hz terdapat 2 buah kentang.mengalami kerusakan memar, persentase kerusakan kentang 1,59%.
