Analisis vegetasi strata semak di Cagar Alam Pangandaran

Vegetasi semak memiliki peran ekologis penting dalam ekosistem hutan, yaitu sebagai habitat fauna, pencegah erosi, dan penyerap karbon. Namun, penelitian mengenai keanekaragaman semak di Cagar Alam Pangandaran masih terbatas. Penelitian ini mengisi kekosongan data tersebut dengan pendekatan multi-stasiun yang membandingkan tiga tipe habitat berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat keanekaragaman dan faktor lingkungan vegetasi semak di Cagar Alam Pangandaran. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode plot berukuran 5 m x 5 m dengan teknik sampling acak di tiga stasiun berbeda, yaitu hutan pantai, hutan hujan dataran rendah, dan savana. Setiap stasiun terdiri dari tiga plot pengamatan. Ditemukan 15 spesies tumbuhan strata semak dari 14 famili dengan total 450 individu. Data dianalisis menggunakan Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) dan Keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener (H’). Spesies dengan INP tertinggi adalah Psychotria nervosa, yaitu 50,65%. Indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener menunjukkan nilai H' = 1,83, yang mengindikasikan keanekaragaman sedang. Distribusi spesies bervariasi antar stasiun dengan kondisi lingkungan yang berbeda: intensitas cahaya berkisar 51-1902 lux, suhu udara 25-30,9°C, dan kelembaban udara 69,7-80,9%. Faktor lingkungan seperti intensitas cahaya dan kondisi habitat berpengaruh terhadap distribusi spesies.
